Just got my hair done by Wazy and I am loving it! I called earlier this week to get some kinky twists but some issues had come up and after talking with Wazy I decided on cornrows w/ extensions. This is my second time going to this salon. I was nervous because my hair is natural and not every stylist treats natural hair in a sensitive way. Wazy does a great job paying attention to the details of the style. She is friendly and easy to talk to. Scheduling is super easy and she gets the job done quickly. The only reason I rated very good instead of excellent is because I really wanted kinky twists but I am super happy with my summer cornrows. I would definitely go back and recommend her to anyone in the waldorf area!

The best salon experience I've ever had! I have a low tolerance for long and ridiculous hours at the salon and was looking for a salon that adhered to the appointment time. There was no wait time at Wazy's--my appointment was at 1 PM and she was there and ready to start at that time!!! She was great and the salon was nice and clean. Wazy was very knowlegeable and informative regarding natural hair care and she did an absolutely wonderful job on my hair. When I left, my hair was soft shiny and beautiful. Thanks Wazy--you rock girl!!!!

The best salon experience I've ever had! I have a low tolerance for long and ridiculous hours at the salon and was looking for a salon that adhered to the appointment time. Wazy did an excellent job on my 6 y/o granddaughter's (Briana) hair. Briana doesn't warm up to people very quickly but Wazy made her feel so comfortable that after she washed and blow dried her hair, Briana fell asleep. I put the picture as my profile picture so that you can see her. If you are looking for a good braid shop, you have found it with Wazy's. I will definitely keep using her for Briana's hair. She has very reasonable prices and the quality of her work is wonderful. Also, we did not sit there for 4 hours to get her hair done - we were done in an hour and a half. I chose to go to her based upon the reviews I read here, so I wanted to be sure to post my own review so that more people will do the same.

Okay... Where do I start. I am not a person who writes reviews on the internet, but I had to write one for Wazy. My experiences with Wazy has always been the best experience. Her customer services is beyond excellent and her hair styling is beyond excellent. I found Wazy by googling natural hair salons in Waldorf, Md, and I read all the great reviews and decided to call to set up an appointment. So I set up an appointment and she saw me the same day. I was impressed she is really a great person and she really cares about her customers. Needless to say I am a repeated customer and I refer all of my friends and co-workers to Wazy. And of course once they go they come back and say... "She is so awesome! And I am going back" If you are looking for a sylist that cares about you as well as your hair please do not look any further because Wazy is where it is at. Thanks Wazy for everything see you soon.

A decent stylist is most difficult to find, but a great stylist is virtually impossible. However, I was referred to Wazy's Hair Salon where I found an EXCELLENT stylist. I am incredibly picky about the company I keep in my hair and tried to manage my expectations, but Wazy is incredible! She's punctual, efficient, clean and polite. I'm not sure I've ever been this satisfied with the texture of my hair, and so now I prefer to sit in no one else's chair.

Wazy's the three best things you could ask for in a hairdresser: pleasant, good, and fast! I went in to ask about an appointment and she was ready to schedule it ASAP. The day of Wazy was running a little behind (10-15 mins, because she was finishing another client) but she politely called me 20 mins ahead of my scheduled appointment to let me know so. Once she was ready it took her a little under an hour to shampoo, condition, blow dry, flat iron, and trim my hair! (Let it be known I do have a Mohawk, but I still do have a good amount of hair lol) I was just glad I didn't have to sit under that dreaded dryer. One last note, I was surprised that Wazy did not ask me to review her. With such great testimonials on here and her site I was sure before I left she was going to urge me (if I had a good experience) to leave a review, but she didn't even mention it. That just goes to show that people are actually taking the time to leave these reviews from the heart (because her service is just that good).

I truly LOVED my service with Wazy! She was on time, timely, friendly and professional. I needed to find a stylist quickly and she had an appt available for the date/time I needed. I had an excellent experience at wazy's salon! Not only did my hair style come out great but the customer service was excellent. I was running late & kept calling for directions but she remained very patient and friendly with me. Appointments are necessary because it is just her but she is flexible and accomedating. Also, she knew her hair and is a true hairstylist. She is very versatile. I felt it was a little pricey compared to the dominican salon i normal go to but it was worth it.

Let me preface this by saying that I do not go to hairdressers. I've had multiple bad experiences that have left me a little gun-shy, but having grown out my relaxer for a little over a year, I was finally ready to get rid of the relaxed ends and become fully natural. I found Wazy's via a search for "natural hair salons in Maryland", and based on the positive reviews, I gave her a chance. I'm beyond happy that I did. Not only did she allow me to reschedule my appointment for a same-day immediate one, but she took her time in what she was doing and made sure that I was comfortable with her plan. The environment was super comfortable and relaxed, and I appreciated her cheerfulness and professionalism. I am over the moon with my cut now...it's versatile and I can wear it curly or straight, and multiple people complimented me afterwards on how healthy it looked. I'll definitely be going back to her!

I found Wazy by searching the web not knowing any salons in Waldorf, MD. I usually go to a natural hair salon in Baltimre, MD which has sinced closed. Instead of trying to find something else in Baltimore, MD I opted to try something local. My experience was awesome and I would recommend her to others. Wazy is very professional and takes her time. She has an idea of what you want and makes a master-piece out of it. She also has a flexible schedule. I recommend Wazy to anyone seeking a local natural hair stylist or a stylist in general as she is a licensed cosmotologist.

10/15/2012 I went to Wazy's for the first time. I got the Kibeh steam treatment (Ethiopian deep condish treatment) which left my hair feeling super soft. Then I got a Mohawk style with flexi rods ( I posted a pic to this page) all for a very reasonable price. I've been natural since January and was tired of rocking the wash n go look so I decided to give Wazy a try after doing some searching online and coming across her yelp reviews. I just happened to call her up and she had availability the same day. Amazing. Wazy is professional and is very skilled in doing hair. Whether natural, relaxed, looking for braids/weave, or a children's hair stylist, Wazy is definitely the one to go to. I'll be back in a couple weeks and will also be bringing my daughter along to get her hair done as well. Thanks Wazy!

Did an online search for an African American hair stylist and came upon Wazy's website. I was happy with my current stylist, but was looking for cheaper pricing. I called Wazy a couple weeks prior to scheduling an appointment and was quoted $60 for a touchup, blowdry, and flat iron. It was $15 cheaper than my current stylist, so after a couple more weeks of my hair growing out, I called back to confirm pricing and schedule an appointment. I was pleased to find out that she was available right then and there and I came in to see her within 30 min of our conversation. I was her only client and was in and out in about 1 1/2 hours. The perm had my hair bone straight and her products were gentle enough not to burn me or cause any discomfort. I will be going back in two weeks for highlights, wash, blowdry and flat iron at another great price. I would definitely recommend Wazy!

The experience I had at Wazy's hair salon was absolutely wonderful! The shop is clean and neat. I am between relaxed and natural hair. Wazy gave good tips and advice on styles and maintenance to avoid hair breakage. She was very patient,pleasant knowledgeable and best of all she had a gentle touch because I am tender headed. She really was flexible and worked with me to schedule return visits. I highly recommend this awesome stylist!!!

Wow, was I ever impressed. Found Wazy's site online and said let me give her a try. Went in at 6 a.m. on a Friday morning and was I ever pleased with her work. I am still rocking my braids 3 weeks later and intend to go back. I am going natural and am at the in between stage and she gave me tips on what to use in my henna and made me feel right at home while in her salon. I would recommend her to anyone looking for great looking braids.

I went to Wazy today to get my very first sew-in. Wazy was very professional, friendly and accommodating. She made me feel very comfortable getting my hair done. She even offered me water and a snack. Her work was excellent and my hair looks fantastic. I recommend her services 100%.

I love coming here the service is great!! Wazy is a nice and professional stylist. She cares about her customers and their hair. She is also very flexible with her clients needs for appointments . I highly recommend her if you are looking for a professional stylist , not just someplace to get your hair done. You won t be disappointed and will be back !!!

Wazy is a very pleasant, talented, and knowledgeable beautician. Her Salon displays a quaint and comfortable setting, which expresses her professionalism. She is very patient, gentle, and efficient. My daughter and I were quite impressed with the results of her work.

I'm pleased to have finally met a stylist who can professionally and creatively tend to the needs of my hair and maintain healthy and age appropriate hairstyles for my daughter (4 years old). She's always gentle, patient & attentive to our needs (& requests).
Furthermore, I appreciate that she does not overbook when scheduling our appointments. We are always the only clients in the salon when we arrive.
